Single-slab river tables, sourced from Pacific Northwest hardwood and finished by hand — built to be the last table you ever buy.
Every table begins as a single tree, felled and dried in the high desert.
We don't laminate boards or chase trends. Each piece is one continuous slab, its natural live edge preserved and bridged by a hand-poured resin river — a quiet line of water running through the grain.
We select and slow-dry single slabs of locally felled hardwood, letting the wood settle for months until the grain is stable and the live edge is ready to show.
The river is poured by hand in tinted resin, flooded into the natural void and cured slowly so it sets clear and deep — a still line of water through the wood.
Each table is sanded through the grades and hand-rubbed with a hardwax oil that feels like the wood itself. Built on steel, finished to last generations.
Most of our work is made to order. Choose the species, the river color, and the size for your room — we'll build a one-of-a-kind table around it. Lead time is typically 8–12 weeks.
Begin a commissionPenfield Craft Co. began in a workshop on the edge of the Cascades, out of a simple belief: a dining table should be the most honest thing in your home — one piece of wood, made well, that your family keeps for decades.
Every table is designed and built start to finish in Sisters, Oregon. No outsourcing, no shortcuts, no two ever the same.
